Where to Stay

Choose an area before you compare individual hotels. The useful question is not which district is most popular, but which repeated journey you want to make easier.

Use the broad area comparison first

Start with the Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Gangnam comparison when your base is still open. Move to the Dongdaemun and Hongdae comparison only when those two areas are the real finalists.

Open a hotel shortlist after the area wins

The Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, Hongdae, and Gangnam hotel guides solve a narrower problem. Use one after choosing the area, then compare the final walk, room fit, luggage route, and the journeys you will repeat.

Treat Seoul Station as a logistics choice

The Seoul Station hotel guide is for trips shaped by AREX, KTX, or luggage timing. Do not add it as a fourth sightseeing-area candidate unless those transport needs are central to the stay.

The dynamic list below contains all seven current stay guides. Follow the broad comparison, the narrower comparison, or one matching shortlist rather than reading every hotel article.
