Sources
Information that can change is checked against official sources whenever possible, including:
- transport operators and airports;
- national and local government agencies;
- official tourism, attraction, and hotel websites;
- government and public-sector publications; and
- official documentation and terms from approved affiliate providers.
Personal blogs, community posts, and booking-platform reviews may provide context, but they are not presented as official facts. Dates are recorded for details that can change, such as operating hours, fares, routes, ticket conditions, hotel prices, and affiliate terms.
Firsthand experience
A guide claims firsthand experience only when a visit, stay, ride, or photograph actually took place. Desk research is not written as if the editor personally used a hotel, route, or product.
Recommendations and exclusions
When relevant, a recommendation explains the criteria used, the travelers it suits, its limitations, what to verify before booking, and why another option was excluded. Popularity or affiliate availability alone is not enough for a recommendation.
Editing and human review
Every article is reviewed by a person before publication. The review checks whether facts match their sources, places and products exist, desk research is labeled honestly, purchase pressure is absent, recommendations have reasons, affiliate relationships are disclosed, and the page works on mobile.
Content that does not meet these checks is not published. The foruplan operator makes the final publication and revision decisions.
Corrections and updates
Routes, prices, opening hours, and product conditions are checked again when an article is updated. If information changes, foruplan may revise the text, update the review date, replace or remove an affiliate link, unpublish the article, or redirect an outdated URL. Dates are not changed only to make an old article look new.
